Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero was an American model and singer. She is also co-starring with Prince in his 1984 movie Purple Rain. Kotero is famous for her role as co-star in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain and for having been the singer in the group of girls Apollonia 6. Apollonia, a singer/actress born to Prince in 1984 was one of the female singers of the 1980s who benefited from Prince. Patricia Kotero was born in Santa Monica, California in the year 1959. Her career started as a model during the latter part of 1970. Kotero also appeared on CHiPS. In 1984, she was chosen to play the lead lady in Prince's Purple Rain. (During this period, she also changed her surname) Her replacement was Vanity from the female trio Vanity 6 who starred in the movie with Apollonia 6 under their name. The three scored a minor smash with Sex Shooter however it was when Prince performed as his duet partner on Take Me with You from the soundtrack that she had more of an impact on charts. Kotero ended her relationship with Prince after a disagreement during the course of their careers. Apollonia 6 broke up after their fallout. She then appeared in a few minor films in the late 1980s (reportedly refusing an opportunity to play in the sequel to Purple Rain Under the Cherry Moon), before settling on acting in a role at night for the film Falcon Crest in 1985-1986. Apollonia was the first artist to release her album in 1988. However, it was not a great album of dance music and R&B which did not impress the people. The album was quickly wiped out of sight. During the following decade, she continued to be active in the field of acting (if a little under the radar) as well as a couple of television roles, films and even an exercise film. In 1997 Apollonia made a record in English and Spanish named Stay with Me. After that, she attended college and received the degree of filmmaker. In addition, she founded her own production company.
