
Alexandra Rose Raisman (born May 25 April 1994) is an ex-retired American artistic gymnast, and a two-time Olympian. She was the captain of the 2012 "Fierce Five" and 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams that took home their respective team competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London, she won gold medals in floor and team competitions, along with the bronze medal on the balance beam, which made her the most accomplished American gymnast in the Games. She was awarded an Olympic gold medal for team competitions during the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas was her teammate and won gold. Raisman also earned silver medals in the individual all-around and for floor exercise. Raisman received silver medals for the all-around individual, as well as the floor exercise. She is also two-time national champion in the floor exercise (2012 2012, 2015), the 2012 champion of the national team on balance beam, and five times a medalist in the all-around event at the national championships (silver in 2016, bronze in 2011, 2012, and 2015). Inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in the year 2013.
